Do you like dogs? I hope so, because this adventure features one. All Dogs go to Hell is a pay-what -you-want adventure for Lamentations of the Flame Princess.
The action starts as the players are travelling down a country road and encounter a mutilated body. They are immediately attacked by a bear, and an Irish wolfhound appears out of nowhere to defend them. After the encounter is done and dusted, the dog leads the players to its master, a man with a decidedly odd appearance, ailing on the road a few miles away. With his dying breath, he tells the players that he’s the Abbot of the Lin Cataldus monastery, recently overtaken by brigands. But he also mentions demon-worshipping monks, and a magical artefact powerful enough to doom the land!
Suffice to say all is not as it seems, and the players have a bit of investigating to do. There are some sketchy brigands and weird monks, an asteroid issuing enormous levels of radiation and an intelligent, blood-borne disease. And let’s not forget the cute doggo who needs to be saved at all costs because he’s a good boi. Did I mention he starts bleeding from the eyes?
Without venturing into super-spoiler territory here (who am I kidding, players don’t read this stuff), Lamentations of the Flame Princess offers a one-shot adventure suited to anything from gonzo silliness to investigative horror roleplaying. And a cute doggo. What’s not to love?
