Dark TV: True Detective

I heard about this series through the grapevine including various podcasts, and yes a few people I know. It caught my attention as it strongly resonates with Delta Green – and the tone is just right.

Basically it’s an anthology series which features law enforcement officers investigating weird occult style crimes. Don’t expect a positive tale here, but the tone of bleakness and references to the mythos (such as Carcosa and the King In Yellow) are captivating and disturbing at the same time..

It’s hard to talk about this without spoiling it, but if you like occult style investigations, slow-burn crime thrillers and real characters, you’ll enjoy this. True Detective is a ride, and it really doesn’t disappoint!
