It’s the 2010s and a group of urban explorers (UE) have the opportunity of a lifetime. A blogger has described the location of a strange train station that is more than it appears. So they descend into the subterranean world of Stockholm, Sweden, which seems to be really unwise, as the same blogger disappeared a couple of years ago.
But there is something seriously strange happening in this hidden underworld… and the UE are going to get a glimpse of a horror that will send a shiver down their spine. Will the investigators even survive, or even want to leave? Time will tell.
Positives:
- A 20 page one-shot with a survival horror vibe
- Description of Stockholm history and Urban Exploration
- 4 Pre-generated Characters
- 3 Handouts
- 1 Map
- Interesting Premise – Urban Explorers following in the footsteps of a missing blogger
Negatives:
- Needs a significant edit
- Character Sheets not available
- Lots of work placed on the keeper
- Weak Plot
- Needs additional NPCs to improve atmosphere and motivation for players.
- Character Motivation is lacking
- Investigator motivation to outwit horror threat needs development.
Overall:
This is a scenario with a unique concept – Investigators descending beneath a city and encountering horrors beyond their comprehension. With the addition of more initial investigation and tightening of aspects to limit work required by the keeper (including a direct, personal investigator connection to the blogger), this could be used to start other investigations into the underground.
